Acknowledgements
I wish to acknowledge the Anindilyakwa people, whose deep connection to Country inspired me to connect more deeply with nature and my own creativity. The art gallery on Groote Eylandt sparked a new life for me — and I wouldn’t be here without it.
I value intuitive, respectful connections to land — a way of being embodied by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, who understand and honour Country through relationship and care. This way of connecting continues to guide and shape my creative practice.
I also want to thank the Nayri Niara and Tin Camp community, who gifted me my first opportunities to share my work publicly, through workshops and exhibitions. From those experiences, I’ve built a life of creative practice rooted in care, experimentation, and connection.
I respectfully acknowledge the Palawa/Pakana people, the Traditional Custodians of the land on which I live and work, and honour their ongoing care for Country.
In recognition and gratitude, five percent of all art purchases will be donated to the Giving Land Back campaign.

THE SEAS AND OCEANS – naturally printed textiles for exhibition
The ocean tells a story of connection — of systems intricate and interwoven.
Over seventy percent of Earth’s surface is water, and through the sharing of global currents, we are bound together, wherever we are.
These ocean-inspired works emerge from seaweed gathered along the shores of the Tasman Peninsula, teeming with life.
Life that struggles to keep pace with human-driven change.
Along our coastline in lutruwita/Tasmania, rapid, human-paced shifts — from industrial fish farming to global warming – are disrupting slow-evolved marine rhythms.
Entire species disappearing beneath the surface, leaving gaps we may not yet fully see.
These works explore the fragile, branching structures of seaweed, echoing the delicate networks of life. They serve as quiet signals — not only of what is being lost, but of what could still be recovered.
Perhaps, in remembering how the ocean connects everything, we can reimagine how we connect — with it, and with each other.

TAKAYNA / TARKINE – naturally printed textiles for exhibition
Takayna is a special place for many, with a growing community standing together to protect it.
In 2023, I attended Art for Takayna — an art residency that invites people from all backgrounds to experience, connect with, and collaborate with this threatened place.
This community nurtured my growing sense of responsibility. Art as advocacy. Art as action.
This vast landscape of the north-west holds one of the largest intact cool temperate rainforests. Home to ancient Huon pines, grandmother myrtles, and pondering celery-top pines. Beneath them, leatherwood, sassafras, and a rich understory thrive.
Here the ground blanketed with moss and fungi, the hidden life that keeps the forest breathing.
At the beginning of 2025, I returned to this place with a sense of dread.
How could a rainforest feel so dry underfoot?
And now, seeing parts of this ancient forest scarred by fire, my heart breaks.
Beyond the forest, the buttongrass moorlands stretch wide and open, holding space for life. But with persistent bushfires and industrial expansion, these sacred landscapes are also being pushed toward devastation.
Amidst natural disasters and relentless exploitation, takayna’s future feels uneasy.
The slow growing, ancient landscape needs us.
I am inspired by the vulnerabilities of these special places. These pieces are a reflection of my care in action – in a form of exhibition sales of naturally printed textiles.

STYX FOREST RESERVE – naturally printed textiles for exhibition
A visit to the Styx Valley in 2020 introduced me to the devastating reality of native old-growth logging — an experience that shifted my path toward activism and purpose.
This year another call for action inspired me to reconnect and collaborate with the threatened landscapes of the Styx Reserve.
These art pieces hold the spirit of this place, carrying both its beauty and its urgency.
The dominant species of the Styx stand tall — the tallest eucalyptus trees in the world.
Others are ancient and vital, living pillars of a thriving ecosystem.
Yet all face erasure through native forest logging.
These trees are more than timber; they are living witnesses.
They carry the memory, the breath, the soul of this land.
Just as human choices drive imbalance, they also carry the power to restore.
My exhibition sales of naturally printed textiles is my way of contributing to the change we want to see
